In undertaking an estates review our Consultant team will perform an initial fact-finding exercise to understand the current services provided and gain basic information on the estates services in question, relating to cost, activity, performance, staff capabilities and resources and processes and systems.
In conjunction with the fact finding exercise, our team will then benchmark the Organisations' relative performance against a cluster of service providers and provide an indication on how the Organisation is doing in comparison with the best and worst performers within their sector. Our Consultant team will also be able to provide the Organisation with the potential and scale for cost reduction or cost pressure by service area.
Having established a faithful picture of the Estate Services provided and completion of the comparative benchmarking analysis, our Consultant team will undertake a structured options appraisal exercise in order to identify the most effective configuration for the delivery of the Estates Services in
question. The review will consider whether these services should be consolidated, be provided in-house, provided through a Shared Services arrangement or provided by an outsourced service provider.
Furthermore, our Consultant team will develop a high level SLA for each service, typically trying to establish the; scope of the service, services exclusions, service charges for additional work, service standards and response times and service monitoring. The SLA, will also establish the activity, likely income and total cost of the service.
Within some services of Estates, a compliance audit is necessary to establish the compliance status of the Trust. Our Consultants will examine all available documentation and audit against current regulation and guidance. Furthermore, our consultants will then audit any documented procedures against day to day activities with respect to maintenance and any construction projects.
