Review of Community Hospitals

Community Hospitals, run by NHS Primary Care organisations, provide in-patient hospital care closer to rural communities who would otherwise have to travel considerable distances to Acute Trust facilities is larger towns and cities. However their financial situations can be precarious as they are unable to replicate the economies of scale or specialism of the Acute Trusts.
Green & Kassab were asked by the local PCT in North Yorkshire to undertake a review of two of their community hospitals, and provide a viable financial and operation plan for future service provision at the sites for the next two years.
