Wading in at the Wellington

Green and Kassab were commissioned to conduct a High Level Review of the Theatre Services for the Wellington Hospital. The aim of the review was to identify issues of particular relevance to the operational effectiveness, commercial efficiency and delivery of theatre services. This allowed Green and Kassab to "walk the boards" and meet some of the key stakeholders.
The Wellington Hospital is one of six Acute Hospitals owned and operated by HCA International, the largest Private Hospital Group in London. Situated in Wellington Square, it is the largest independent Hospital in the United Kingdom. It is a multi specialty Private Hospital which has 266 registered beds and 11 operating theatres.
Following the positive feedback from the Wellington Management Team on the initial high level scoping review, Green and Kassab were invited to undertake four further pieces of work
• Comprehensive Review of Theatre Services
• Staffing Skill Mix and Utilisation Assessment
• Material Management Review
• Data Information Systems Review
Key to the successful completion of these projects will be the full engagement with key stakeholders in the process, including Clinical Consultants, Their recent participation in a Clinical Consultants Users Survey has formed a vital lynch-pin to these processes.
Additionally, The Wellington Hospital Management Team has requested that Green and Kassab participate in the validation of future Business Cases.
