Cost Improvement Support within Mental Health Trust

Green and Kassab are currently working with a Mental Health Trust in London to support the development and delivery of a cost improvement programme within one of its Clinical Service Delivery Units. We were commissioned by the Trust’s Finance Director against a background of the SDU overspending by circa £200k/month.
Working hand in hand with the General Manager and Clinical Director, our Consultant team have helped to assess the existing Cost Improvement Plans and to develop a cash-flow forecast model of the likely impact of the savings programme.
Having identified a number of shortfalls in the programme, our Consultant team has worked to develop some alternate initiatives, in conjunction with the Trust’s management team. As a consequence, the Service Delivery Unit has been able to agree its plans with the Trust Board and a Control Total has been agreed.
Green and Kassab have now been commissioned to support the Service Delivery Unit with the implementation process and after three months the SDU has achieved a level run-rate.
